My name is Rita Lockyer-Pocsai, and I am a dedicated Professional Counsellor with a heartfelt passion for helping couples, adults, adolescents, and LGBTQ2S individuals from all walks of life. I believe that every person’s story is unique, and it is an honour to walk alongside you as you navigate challenges, discover your strengths, and create new possibilities in your life and relationships.
I bring a warm, compassionate, and empathetic approach to therapy, offering a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you can feel truly heard and understood. Together, we will create a space for exploration, healing, and growth—at a pace that feels right for you.
My practice is grounded in evidence-based approaches including Gottman Couples Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Mindfulness, and Narrative Therapy. By drawing from these modalities, I tailor each session to your unique needs, whether that means strengthening communication and connection, building resilience, or finding new strategies to cope with life’s challenges.
